ประกาศออกมาแล้วสำหรับรายชื่อศิลปินที่ได้เข้าชิงรางวัล American Music Awards (AMAs) ปี 2019 ซึ่งจะจัดขึ้นเช้าวันจันทร์ที่ 25 พฤศจิกายน ตามเวลาประเทศไทย ที่โรงละคร Microsoft Theatre ในลอสแอนเจลิส
นักร้องหนุ่ม Post Malone มาแรงที่สุด ได้เข้าชิงทั้งหมด 7 สาขา ตามมาด้วย อะรีอานา กรานเด และบิลลี อายลิช ที่ได้เข้าชิง 6 สาขาเท่ากัน ส่วน เทย์เลอร์ สวิฟต์ ที่เคยคว้ารางวัลมาแล้ว 23 ครั้งก็ได้เข้าชิง 5 สาขา และถ้าหากเก็บมาได้อีก 2 ใน 5 รางวัลสำหรับปีนี้ เธอก็จะสร้างสถิติใหม่เป็นศิลปินที่ชนะรางวัล AMAs มากที่สุดในประวัติศาลตร์ ซึ่งตอนนี้ ไมเคิล แจ็คสัน ยังคงครองสถิติกับ 24 รางวัล
เวที American Music Awards ถือว่าเป็นอีกหนึ่งงานแจกรางวัลของอุตสาหกรรมดนตรีที่ทรงอิทธิพลที่สุดในโลก จัดครั้งแรกในปี 1974 โดย ดิก คลาร์ก พิธีกรทีวีชื่อดัง ซึ่งตั้งแต่ปีแรกจนถึงปี 2005 ผู้ชนะจะถูกเลือกโดยการคำนวณคะแนนของคนในวงการดนตรี ร่วมกับยอดขายเพลงและยอด Airplay บนคลื่นวิทยุ แต่มาในปี 2006 ทางผู้จัดงานก็ได้ให้แฟนเพลงสามารถโหวตได้ผ่านช่องทางออนไลน์ ซึ่งในปีนี้ก็สามารถโหวตได้แล้วตั้งแต่วันนี้จนถึงวันที่ 20 พฤศจิกายน ที่ goo.gle/AMAsVote
ส่วนอีกหนึ่งไฮไลต์ที่ต้องติดตามลุ้นกันคือบรรดาศิลปินที่จะมาแสดงบนเวทีนี้ ซึ่งนอกเหนือจากศิลปินที่ได้เข้าชิงรางวัลต่างๆ จะมีโอกาสมาแสดง แต่ศิลปินคนอื่นๆ ที่ออกผลงานใหม่มากมายช่วงนี้อย่าง เซเลนา โกเมซ, แฮร์รี สไตล์ส, ดัว ลิปา และ Coldplay ก็ไม่น่าพลาดโอกาสที่จะมาโปรโมตงานใหม่ที่งานนี้ โดย THE STANDARD POP จะมีการรายงานทุกความเคลื่อนไหวอย่างแน่นอน!
