Nikkei Inc. will host the inaugural Nikkei Asia Forum APAC 2026 in Bangkok on July 16, 2026, under the theme ‘Building a Robust Region for Sustainable Business Growth.’
The new regional forum is designed as a platform for business leaders, investors, policymakers, and experts from across the Asia-Pacific to exchange perspectives on the future of the region at a time of profound global transformation.
This year’s discussions will explore some of the defining challenges shaping Asia’s next phase of growth — from geopolitical uncertainty and energy security to supply chain resilience, carbon transition, the future of mobility, and the growing role of AI, robotics, and capital markets in driving long-term competitiveness.
At the heart of the forum is a central question: how can Asia build a more resilient and sustainable growth model in a world where trade, technology, energy, and capital flows are being fundamentally reshaped?
The program will feature keynote sessions, fireside chats, and panel discussions covering topics such as Future of Mobility and Pathways to Carbon Neutrality, AI and Robotics: Opportunities and Challenges in Asia, regional value-chain upgrading, resilient supply chains, and the role of Asian capital markets in attracting investment and strengthening household wealth.
Confirmed speakers include prominent leaders from government, business, and finance, including
Masato Otaka, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand
Harald Link, Chairman of B.Grimm
Kenichiro Yoshida, Executive Chairman of Sony Group
